Tai is Student Energy’s Future Skills Coordinator, creating and implementing programming for youth to learn the soft skills to advocate for themselves and the transition to sustainable and equitable energy systems.
Tai specializes in creating equitable, inclusive, and accessible programming. They have done several speaking engagements and workshops at universities, conferences, and forums on topics pertaining to migration, gender equity, trans issues, health, and more. Tai holds a B.A.&Sc. from McMaster University and an M.A. in Geography from McGill University, where they specialized in transgender and migration studies. They are a long-time community organizer, focusing on trans and queer liberation and resource and wealth redistribution. They have hosted and produced the podcast Gender Blender. Tai loves to read speculative fiction, fix up their bike, and work with essential oils, plants, and ferments.
