"In my civil engineering undergrad, we were learning about water resources and a bit about energy systems. I remember thinking almost immediately that this is what I want to know more about and do as a career. But I didnt know where to start or what I needed to learn or even have a community of renewble energy/water resource management professionals. Being part of SECT has made my dream a reality and jumpstarted my career in building Africa's climate resilience. I learnt so much in a short amount of time; and I now owe it to myself to put into practice and contribute to projects that improve the lives of my community in one way or the other."
