Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

We, at the Student Energy Chapter of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, acknowledge the need for a sustainable environment plan and will actively work towards implementing the same. We are an ambitious group of young students enthused about the future of energy who are actively involved in discussions regarding challenges in the production, consumption and conservation of energy. The primary focus of our Chapter will be Affordable and Clean Energy (Sustainable Development Goal 7), to aspire for a future where energy is easily available to all, to spread awareness on reliable, inexpensive and sustainable resources, and to research renewable and affordable resources. Other areas of focus include Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12), and Climate Action (SDG 13). We have designed a twofold agenda to achieve our targets in phases, starting with Southern India, expanding onto the entire country and eventually on a global scale. They are as follows: 1) We intend to propose innovative solutions and conduct meaningful research in the fields of clean, sustainable and renewable energy. 2) We, as students, take up the responsibility of spreading awareness about the aforementioned fields through our generation, and the next, in order to inspire young minds and inculcate an interest in them.
