Energy Tour

Our energy tours started at the Geothermal site at the Forks in Winnipeg’s downtown. The head engineer for the site gave us background information on the installation process and lets us tour the different areas where machinery is installed for the site. After this tour, our group met up at Fort Whyte in Winnipeg, in order to view the solar panel installation site. Here we met the head engineer for the company that installed the panels and he explained the technical information on how the panels work. He also answered all of our questions about utilizing a solar panel for energy generation and gave us ideas on our design solution.
