Memorial University of Newfoundland
The mission of the Student Energy chapter at the Memorial University of Newfoundland is to support the sustainable energy initiatives in Atlantic Canada to address the need for providing clean, accessible, and affordable energy to different communities of the Atlantic region. Specifically, we are inspired to foster sustainable energy transition by integrating academic research and education with our community's professional and social opportunities. Some of our objectives are: • To develop students' skills as problem-solvers while growing their skills beyond the traditional education to be able to address the diverse challenges the energy market faces • To raise awareness about the available opportunities to implement sustainable technologies for energy production in Atlantic Canada • To create an interdisciplinary hub for the students to keep pace with the technological development in the clean energy technologies • To provide opportunities for the students to get involved in the practical, sustainable projects
