University of Lomé

On the University campus of Lomé, we believe that the majority of students do not know about climate change, the different renewable energy sources, and the importance of the energy transition for mitigating the effects of climate change. This is due to the fact that the university academic programs are theoretical and not updated. Our chapter’s mission is to increase awareness about renewable energy and create a conducive framework that gives room to students to take part in action-based energy discussions, sustainable energy innovations, and to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to trigger real impacts in their environment.
