International District Energy Association Video Contest

3 tours of physical plant and a tour of a hydroelectric generating station were used as research opportunities to understand how the campus’ district energy works. We worked really close with physical plant on this project. Many video shooting days were used to take shots of the physical plant, the generating station, carbon-free indigenous center on campus. This was a 2-month long project. Once our video was entered in the competition, we spent countless hours networking to get our video out there for energy education. We were featured both on the radio and the news in Winnipeg. Our video was fortunate to get the most likes/views out of all videos in the contest’s history. Following this project, we are working with physical plant to implement more renewable options on campus.
