During Sheth Pranjal’s first year of college, he transitioned from a finance pre-med track, initially aiming for a consulting career in big pharma, to exploring broader career opportunities in finance. Leveraging their location in Houston, the world’s energy capital, Sheth joined a middle-market private equity firm focused on renewables, industrials, and utilities. This experience sparked a deep interest in sustainable development and led him to seek further experience in the field.

The Student Energy Career Training (SECT) Program offered the flexibility Sheth needed, allowing him to balance seminars and lessons from industry professionals with hands-on experience at a venture firm specializing in space. The connections made through SECT have endured, and Sheth remains an active part of the alumni network, continuing to engage with the program’s community. SECT played a crucial role in building his knowledge base, and he considers himself forever a part of its family.
