“This training was really interesting. From all the different parts of the program, I enjoyed the most working on the practicum project. The project partner my team and I got to work with greatly helped and supported us through the project, and it was a pleasure learning from them. During this phase, I got to work on a project that matters. I realised how important energy access is, and how of a basic or primary need it represents for everyone, but yet so many are still lacking. It is basic but at the same time a precious gem, as it has a great incidence on what people can dream of, on their aspirations, and even on their future. From this project, we clearly saw all the challenges surrounding accessibility to electricity. CONNECTION TO THE GRID DOESN'T AUTOMATICALLY TRANSLATE INTO ELECTRICITY ACCESS FOR HOUSEHOLDS. Also, energy access issues shall be well addressed in order to be solved. At times, solutions should not be limited to infrastructures and connections, but the environmental, sociocultural, and economic challenges shall also be considered to really see the impact and ensure energy access FOR ALL.”
