ART-PESOUNG is specialized in the construction and sale of ecological toilets based on compressed earth bricks with a new technology of non-drainable pit in rural areas. Our product offers an inclusive emptying service for environmental safety and promotion of the circular economy.
I decided to set up this project as part of a research for a thesis topic on sanitation issues. Thus, I specialized in the construction of ecological toilets to help vulnerable households in rural areas in line with SDG 6.
“Our participation in the Greenpreneurs program, which brings together green entrepreneurs from all around the world, was an opportunity for us to discover the great entrepreneurial sphere via webinar facilitators who shared exceptional, motivating experiences. The program coordinators, mentors, and speakers guided us and made us want to persevere.”
We bring green innovation by working with local authorities and development organizations to facilitate access to sustainable, comfortable, and affordable sanitation facilities for the poorest households. We also establish the CSR of private companies in rural areas in sanitation.
The project is in line with:
- SDG 6 : Water and sanitation for all by 2030.
- SDG 12 : Responsible consumption and production on the transition from a linear economy to circular production.
- SDG 13 : Fight against climate change and promote renewable energy.
We would like also to strengthen the ecological awareness of citizens
Meeting our mentor allowed us to have more self-confidence, to measure myself as a great businesswoman and business leader of great status. This connection also allows us to redefine our customer segment and to review our objectives. The mentor was useful to us as we have a very low level in English.
“In the pursuit of our business, we are faced with the high cost of building materials. The costs must be affordable thus our products are accessible to our target groups ( vulnerable people in rural areas). In addition, most of the partners that we would like to target work only with the State or associations and not with companies.”
