About the Solutions Movement:
The Solution Movement is a global youth-led effort to fund, support and deploy 10,000 youth-led clean energy projects around the world by 2030. It aims to raise $10 million by 2021, and $150 million by 2030.
Young people are driven to implement climate solutions but lack the resources and know-how to deploy them at the scale and speed needed. Eighty-two percent (82%) of young entrepreneurs indicated that a lack of financial support is the main barrier to making entrepreneurship feasible, and only $45B of $455B of global climate finance crossed borders from OECD to non-OECD countries, mostly in the form of loans.
As one of the first youth-led UN-Energy Compacts, this campaign will unlock direct-to-youth funding within Student Energy’s programs – a missing key ingredient to empowering global youth to influence local energy systems. The campaign will also assist the youths to develop the necessary skills, knowledge, and support systems for their initiatives.

Young people are driven to implement climate solutions but lack the resources and know-how to deploy them at the scale and speed needed. That’s why we have partnered with Student Energy to help deploy $150M by 2030, unlocking the power of 10,000 youth-led clean solutions around the world.
The Solutions Movement was launched by Student Energy in June 2021 to world leaders and governments at the United Nations High-level dialogue on Energy, Ministerial Thematic Forums. This youth-led, global Energy Compact bridges the gap between youth motivation and action by directly funding USD 150 million and actively supporting the deployment of 10,000 youth-led clean energy projects by 2030.
